Many private companies and public bodies, such as hospitals, museums, research laboratories, law firms and many government departments and agencies maintain their own libraries for use by its employees who perform specialized research related to their work. Special libraries may or may not be accessible to some identified by the general public. Branches of large libraries, academic research or specific topics are often called “special libraries” are usually associated with one or more academic departments. Special libraries are distinguished from special collections, which are branches or parts of a library for rare books, manuscripts and other similar materials. 2. A qualified staff to provide and interpret the material needed to meet the information needs, cultural, recreational, educational or customers;
3. A program established in which services are available for staff and customers
4. The physical structures necessary to support a personal collection and planning.

Development of academic library why?
modern library services calls for the acquisition and procession of a wide range of materials that can make students better services to its target. This is not a skilled job. It requires a kind of dedication that the housewife is to home management. India is a developing country and the importance of libraries and information centers is very sensitive to the extent that information is seen as vital resources for national development.
Growth materials:
The standard library is determined by the growth of the quality of materials and personnel. The staff of the library acquired new books and magazines, audio and documents to the growth of university libraries.
Sources of growth:
This is one of the factors for the development of academic libraries in the academic library offers different services such as the question of reserve service, reference service, SDI, CAS and digital library service. He invited more students to use the university library.
Duty Librarian:
Analyze the student’s needs and provide the information they need.
Show the students how to effectively search for information on the Internet and other online resources.
Supervision of assistants who prepare cards, computer records or other access tools that direct students to resources.
Conduct classes
Raise awareness of services
collect and organize books, pamphlets, manuscripts and other materials in a specific area, such as rare books and genealogy.
SUGGESTIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF librarian at University Library
academic librarians should know about latest development of library and information science.
The library staff must be highly qualified and mind in their profession.
The library professionals can talk with bold and active workshops at the Conference and in various libraries and information science.
The librarian can provide guidance for students.
The librarian can reserve the purchase of quality materials and rare.
To meet the request of the students ‘information’ and their needs.
The library staff should encourage students and their knowledge of library services and facilities.
The library staff must have knowledge management.
CONCLUSION:
In this study, the researcher concluded that the participation and contribution of a librarian in a university library. Success depends on the quality of academic library resources, services, facilities and expertise, qualified members of staff knowledge of the library. The librarian is an important contribution in the development of academic library because they did not meet the information requirements of students and their needs.
